This is not a "bug". Only when soft lighting is off, it appears dark to us.

Super good idea, for the Gamemode 0, you can also take stone bricks and vllt make a few more RAsenflächen
Could be transferred to survival mode. Possibly with cobblestone and mossy cobblestone (is craftable from 1.8)
