With one command you can insert any block into a Lore.
/summon MinecartRideable ~ ~ {CustomDisplayTile:1,DisplayTile:56,DisplayOffset:4}
Simply insert the ID (here number) at DisplayTile.

Is that still up to date? As far as I know, the 1.8. no longer supports numeric IDs, but uses the names.
