You could also build the redstone line on the train, then it's less noticeable.

Agree only thing hard is to transport the redstone line upstairs without anyone noticing. But otherwise a good idea! 🙂

Could you lay two rails, each in the direction of the wheels, so that it looks like one big rail.

Right good idea I had not even thought! But actually the most important thing should be the train but still a very good idea!

You can also just place redstone flares under the obsidian blocks under the iron doors....
