A modern living room with an elegant design and versatile lighting.
I was particularly concerned about atmospheric lighting and otherwise kept the furniture and decoration simple and stylish. The practicality has remained in the background to make the living room look more realistic. (->no chests or record players)

where do you get these ideas...

I've started building a new house, and I've been thinking about how to design the living room. The ideas are entirely my own, although some of the simpler stuff was probably built by someone before me.
Nice
Very little furnishings and little design. I do not like it so much.
I think the living room is furnished well enough and contains no less furnishings than a real modern living room. But that is probably like in real life a matter of taste. But since it's just an idea, you can implement it differently and add furniture as desired.
I don't really understand the criticism of the design. After all, I specifically made sure to bring the lighting elements and the rest of the furnishings into a unified, harmonious design, paying attention to color schemes and details and deco. And everything fits into the concept: "modern".
If you do not like the design, I understand that and take it so. But I find it unjustified to say that I hardly paid attention to design, because that's exactly what I paid attention to. In this living room I have "designed" almost every single object myself and not taken any common variants.

How Horny
Hey I do not quite get how the illuminated shelf is built ๐
First you build the backside like in the picture. Where the light shines through are the quartz stairs, because stairs let light through. What you see on the picture of the front is the front, you build it directly in front of the back. Basically not that hard. I don't know how to explain it better...
Tip:

I'd do the fireplace like this:
And your lighted shelf would look better with quartz block in front than sandstone.
But still, it turned out well.
You're coming right into my world :DD
looks really cozy
