Frame lock

The door will not open until the items in the frames are in the correct orientation.

Instead of the eye-catching iron door you can of course also use something else like a Kolb door use.

There is also a tutorial in the video above. A comparator is used to detect the orientation of the item in the frame. Depending on the alignment, the redstone signal from the comparator is stronger or weaker. The different length lines can be used to determine the alignment needed. If the signal is too strong, the amplifier will reach the end of the line, disabling the door. If the signal is too short, the redstone flare on the side becomes active and blocks the door.

  1. With 3 items this would be 512 different combinations, with 4 items the number even increases to 4096!
    So I think an uninvited guest would have to spend quite a bit of time picking that lock! ^^

    You could also link this circuit to a button that only opens the door when the correct combination is set. But if the button is pressed when the wrong combination is set, a trapdoor or similar opens under the player.

  2. On the idea I'm already come πŸ˜€ and then it occurred to me that if you turn the item in the frame it gives a RedstonestΓ€rke but if you turn it even further (the item) then that password is still correct, because the door is opened only at a minimum strength πŸ˜‰

  3. Pokemonser in single player maybe. But the lock is only useful in multiplayer what and there are protection plugins. And in single player no one comes and breaks you where.

    Incidentally, all possible combinations with one position can be guessed. But the idea is good.
