This automatic melon or pumpkin farm, uses a daylight detector to determine if the melon has grown.
This farm uses the light sensor to determine whether a melon has grown and then harvests it with a plunger. With the help of funnels, the harvest then goes into a chest. You can also build several of them next to each other to multiply the yield.

Here are the step by step instructions for rebuilding:

Thank you 🙂 I'm sure there are easier ways but I haven't seen that with the light sensor anywhere yet 🙂
I would have yes on nem server something concerns that this farm leads to laggen. but I can also be wrong. I'm just wondering who needs so many melons / pumpkins? 😀 😀 😀 ... otherwise eig. ne funny thing.
I give the others right and a like
just as an addendum:

This is so the simplest long time clock ever xD
Good idea with the light sensor!!!
Thanks for the good idea with the light sensor, I've seen a lot of melon and pumpkin farms but I especially like this one!
Thank you all! That's right with the lag, if you build too many of them. 10-20 pieces but that should not be a big problem. But of course depends on the server on it, so übertreibts not, so many melons then eh no one needs more.... 😛
To save some material with several plants I have only a daylight sensor that sends a short signal to the pistons once a day via a modified AND gate so that they extend and immediately retract. In this way, fields that do not contain any fruit are briefly covered by their cobs, but since it is only a short moment, there is then the possibility of a fruit growing again for a whole day. So I have a lot of space and material saved (only a little more redstone, but I have such masses..)
And the first sensor is covered ? have built so but think it does not work....
