Showers with a simple mechanism.
Instructions:
Simple showers built of quartz stone, dispensers and one water bucket per shower.Since the buckets do not empty, you do not have to refill them.
A simple switch under the dispenser is all that is needed to turn it on or off.
The entire room except under the shower is half a block higher with steps so the water only flows down.
Here are 2 more ideas of where to put them....
Some kind of spa:

Or a regular swimming pool:

On demand I can of course upload these two builds separately :)
um, neither with a dispenser nor with a thrower does the water stay in the bucket, so only single use,
at the dispenser, he just throws it out, as expected.
so when I built the whole thing I could activate it again and again without something to fill ... would not know now why it has not worked with you ...
Well, showers have no practical use in Minecraft and they don't look very good either, no matter in which variant. I'll give them a "neutral" rating.

I hate to say it but ANYTHING but an 8×8 block hut and a mine makes no sense in Minecraft 😀
back to topic.
The shower is nice and can be wonderfully combined with swimming pools and their "changing rooms" cool idea =)
that with the dispenser and the "infinite" water also works wonderfully for me 🙂
grattler for some time it is possible in Minecraft via a dispenser to empty a bucket and take the liquid (lava or water) with the same dispenser again. The empty bucket remains in the dispenser and can take the water / lava source again.
Thanks, I also think that if it goes by that there is hardly anything useful on here 😀
have still times 2 Screenshots in the description supplemented ...
Thanks to picasso22 that I do not have to explain. Possible since the Redstone update (1.5.x).
They work great and... just don't make much sense unfortunately... like Minecraft ^^
However, they are a good filler object.
Yes the mechanism is very simple
so what I have already built but this shower looks much better than mine
Quite nice 🙂
You could also take a command block and use it to create water particles. Still good!
joa, but with a command block it's boring ...
I'm always running over water.
yes, i used a little trick ... you need a "hole" in which the water runs ...
round about I have built the bottom of halfslaps, so that gives only a small deepening ...
look closely at the screenshot 🙂
You could build the shower the same way:

The pressure plate helps to keep the water from overflowing and the button is connected to the thrower. So you can turn on the shower and water runs out of the thrower and when the button is pressed again, the water disappears again. So the water can be used again and again!
super improvement 🙂
then there is no more hole in the ground and you can turn them on and off automatically 🙂
