The underground daylight has a relaxing effect and can also be executed in many variants.
Instructions:
Through a daylight sensor and a redstone line that goes underground you can connect your redstone lamps.
light blue glass and tree leaves give the right feeling.

It completely pointless (like everything in minecraft eig.), but I like it very much, I generally build very much under the surface.
What would still be useful, however, is that one would have to move the leaves a block to the back so that there are no expulsions with the glass.
I think it's a good idea, something different than these eternal torches =D
