Since there are the armor stands, you can make a scarecrow also good with pumpkin and leather clothing. Dyeing in the zombie look also goes well with blue pants and turquoise shirt.

you can only put pumpkins on armor stands since 1.9, just like the vanilla heads. but funny idea.

No, I just wanted the scarecrow to be easy to see, even from a distance. Hence the block underneath. A straw bale/wheat block would be maybe even better 🙂
