I'm not saying you can get glowstone quickly - but it's relatively easy to get.
Yes, you have to get to the Nether, and you have to get to the Glowstone, which is usually hanging from the ceiling. But for that in formations of a few dozen pieces.
And lighting everything up in torches is kind of monotonous too.
