Patpat reference to what? Not even the guy on Reddit is the inventor, there are videos from 2012 with drum design. I myself have built something like this in beta times, without piston and without lever but very similar. And just because you submit something here that might have just been shown somewhere doesn't mean you know it from there. It's just Minecraft, there was probably pretty much everything at some point. Build something that hasn't been done before. That will be difficult.
