Small automatic lighting

This is the smallest possible fully automatic lamp in Minecraft without mods. At night the left lamp burns, during the day the right. You can also omit the right lamp.

The left lamp lights up at night. The optional right lamp lights up during the day. You can also omit the left lamp and use only the right one, but then you can save the redstone stuff.

Redstone dust must be placed on the block to which the redstone torch was attached.
The right lamp is only optional, doesn't have to be, but can be, e.g. to make a day/night indicator.
(e.g. for caves, then only the redstone signal has to be routed downwards).
Above the redstone flare is a daylight sensor, for those who don't recognize it ^^

Instructions:

Place a Redstone lamp anywhere you like.
With a block distance you place another block as a holder for the redstone torch.
At this block you place a redstone flare at the side.
You put redstone dust on the block.
A daylight sensor must be placed above the Redstone flare.
Done.

  1. Additionally you can put redstone lamps on the other 3 sides of the redstone flare, so you only see the daylight sensor and the lamps.
This is what I did in my basketball court, I may post.

  2. Well, it was just a side effect ^^
And, sureo, I will, but not until the score display is done, at the same time I'll post the smallest possible display to go with it, with video.
Although it will be ... okay don't spoil it, it's supposed to be a surprise. ^^
