Traffic signs

Simple idea really: I've noticed that a lot of servers and players are building out modern cities with roads. Most of them use streetlights, but I haven't seen any traffic signs anywhere.

I have the following signs to offer as an example that make half sense. The designs are based on the signs of the StVo, so that they can be better recognized. Helpful with a lot of horse traffic, but especially in water cities like Venice replicas etc.. Since boats are broken in a collision.

Right-of-way:

Yield the right of way:

One-way street:

Passage/riding prohibited:

Pedestrian Crossing:

Except for the "No Trespassing" sign, all signs are theoretically also producible in Survival. Dark wood looks the most realistic, stone fence is too thick.

  1. Hi, glad the idea is getting such positive feedback 🙂 .

@BlackDesire I would love to see your version sometime, feel free to post it here in the comments 🙂

@Rico Thanks for the suggestion ^^ Yes you can use the barrier super also as a no stopping sign. Certainly makes sense for example in front of fire department and hospital (even if an absolute no-stopping does not go).
I am also sure that there are many more possibilities for signs.

The signs are on the street, because the sidewalk is only 1/2 block large and it may look strange if the sidewalk suddenly thickens, or the sign floats. At the intersections it would be quite possible, only I wanted to do it consistently and that looks so stupid at the crosswalk ...
Also, Raccoon isn't wrong either xD

  2. Nice shield designs 🙂
As a small addition I would have here a forcing arrow (frame with arrow in any direction) and a construction site sign (frame with pickaxe).

  3. @Rico that's what I tried to explain. If the path is everywhere 2Stufen high, then you have to jump to get to the sidewalk, I would find that stupid.
If the path is only higher in certain places, then that looks weird too... But if you've found an appealing solution, post it here, I'd be happy to solve this problem for me too.

@ZombieHead Not bad, just keep writing new shield ideas diligently, I also benefit from it because I can then improve that with me. That's one main reason why I post my ideas here

  4. Hey, here's how I would have done it 🙂 .

The sidewalk is clear for pedestrians and the traffic sign isn't hanging in the air 😀

  5. I find that awenig funny, but that's probably a matter of opinion. A solution would be to build the sidewalk simply completely at the same height as the road...

  6. "I would not have thought of that"... blah blah blah "That's a cool I..." blah blah blah... you can forget it. I also had such an idea, and had also implemented it. So far I think it's really well designed. Especially the barrier made me curious. Class converted! Idea I had but already had.... I think many had this already.
